DodecAHEDRON STAR

Fold this fantastic 12-pointer from a single piece of paper.

If you are interested to know, a dodecahedron is a 12-sided figure where each side is a regular pentagon. It is one of the five Platonic solids.

Paper required: one sheet 8 1/2 inch by 11 inch (or A4)

Finished Project size: 3 inches (7.5 cm)

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1

Print the pattern onto the paper of your choice.

Read the pattern key included in the General Instructions.

 

STEP 2

Cut out the pattern by cutting on all black lines.

Step 3

Fold the pattern on all red and green lines. Green lines are valley folds and red lines are mountain folds.

Step 4

Glue all lettered flaps. Flap A to the other Flap A, Flap B to the other Flap B, etc, continuing until Flap L is glued to the other Flap L.

Step 5

Glue all numbered flaps. Glue Flap 1 to the other Flap 1, Flap 2 to the other Flap 2, etc. Leave all flaps on one point as the last to be glued; for example leave Flaps 12, 16, 18, and 9 for last.
