INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1
Print the Pulsar Star pattern onto two paper sheets of your choice. Use one color of paper for Sheet 1 and another color of paper for Sheet 2.
Read the pattern key included in the General Instructions.
Step 2
Cut out the 14 pattern pieces by cutting on all black lines.

STEP 3
On all 14 pattern pieces, fold the green lines as valley folds and the red lines as mountain folds.

Step 4
On each Part Type 1 glue Flap A to the other Flap A. On each Part Type 2, glue Flap B to the other Flap B.

Step 5
Take one of the Part Type 1’s and attach four Part Type 2’s to this Part Type 1. Do this by gluing one triangular glue Flap D on each Part Type 2 to one of the triangular glue Flap C’s on the Part Type 1.

Step 6
Add a Part Type 1 between each of the Part Type 2’s. On each added Part Type 1, glue a triangular Glue Flap C to a triangular Glue Flap D on each adjacent Part Type 2.

Step 7
Add a Part Type 2 between each of the Part Type 1’s that were added in Step 6. On each added Part Type 2, glue a triangular Glue Flap D to a triangular Glue Flap C on each the two adjacent Part Type 1’s. Finally, add the remaining Part Type 1 by gluing its Glue Flaps C’s to the available Glue Flap D’s on the Part Type 2’s added earlier in this step.

This Pulsar Star is in the form of a cuboctahedron. One of the things that I like about this design is that the glue flaps are used to form additional “points” between the main points.
